The ROVER transport was sponsored by an amazing young girl named Grace who attends Brockway Elementary School. With her leadership, she and her classmates at Brockway raised enough money to save precious lives from a high kill shelter in southern Virginia. Grace tells us, "I wanted to sponsor a transport because my dog, Dipper, came from Joyful Rescues and I wanted to help other animals like Dipper. We chose the name "Rover" for all the dogs' last names because the kids at my school helped me raise the money and our school mascot is the Brockway Rover. Some of the first names were picked by the classes that raised the most money." ~ Grace
Ben There! was born about June 13, 2017 and will likely top out in the 55 lb. range, but truly we are really guessing on breed and ultimate size. He is one ADORABLE mix and so unusual. Ben is just sweet, has a nice medium energy, is not a noisy boy and a pleasure to be around. Ben loves the other dogs and is so excited to begin a new life filled with love! He is going to make someone very, very, happy! This is all we know so far as the southern shelter feels it's embarrassing to humans dropping off their dog to ask questions since the reason is so often financial. We will be learning as we go and so will you.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $375.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a "complete" pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
